We have joined the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation "Get Set" weekend on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th March 2024.
The Get Set Weekend is designed to bring clubs and local communities together, and ensure grounds and facilities are ready for the new season. The weekend is a fantastic opportunity to inspire new and existing volunteers to spend time at your club, helping it to ‘get set’ for the upcoming season. The Get Set Weekend is powered by The Cricket Collective; the volunteers who drive and deliver all areas of the sport. In 2022, over 20,000 people got involved across England and Wales, supporting their clubs and local communities. We will be looking for volunteers to do a range of jobs at both our grounds at Bourton Vale and Lower Slaughter. This can be anything from cleaning out the nets and putting the sheets on the covers to cleaning the kitchen and fixing anything that needs fixing! We would be grateful for any support that we receive. As you know, the club is volunteer-run and more than just a Cricket Club as we host lots of local events. If you can give us a little bit of your time, please email Kevin Langley on [email protected] . A huge thank you in advance, BVCC Committee

We are absolutely delighted to have signed top order batsman and off spinner Tom Horrell for the upcoming season.
Tom has gained some valuable experience in WEPL Prem Two, captaining Stroud CC and enjoying five title-contending seasons with Corsham CC in WEPL Prem One and Two. A minor county representative, Tom has racked up 30 senior hundreds, 60 senior fifties and boasts over 200 wickets in WEPL. Welcome to The Vale Tom, we can’t wait to get going! Bourton Vale Cricket Club is delight to announce IGLÜ Mobile Bars as our main new club sponsor.
Based in Cheltenham, IGLÜ offer a wide range of managed bar packages and bespoke tailored events across the South-West of the UK. Their team offers a friendly tailor-made service, taking the stress away from beverage management as well as hiring out bars, party furniture and bar equipment to venues, party planners and private clients. With a client list boasting the likes of Amazon, The Jockey Club, Cheltenham College and being the matchday catering partner at Cheltenham Town FC, BVCC are delighted to be in this esteemed company. IGLÜ owner Pete Geddes said: "We are delighted to become main club sponsors at Bourton Vale Cricket Club ahead of a hugely exciting season. Whilst sponsoring the club for the previous two seasons it is great to be able to increase our support." "It is a club very close to my heart, first playing there aged 11 many years ago now under Jeff Whitney in the Sunday team and also for the Saturday 2s. The club provided a great place to develop as a young player and it is great to see that still happening to this day. Whilst I am unable to play anymore due to work commitments, and my hatred of fielding, it is lovely to be able to give back in this way and look forward to popping down to "the Vale" this season when I am able to." If you would like to discuss your event with IGLÜ, please visit www.iglubars.co.uk or contact Pete on [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming IGLÜ to BVCC when we take on Stow RFC in June as part of our 2024 Cricket Festival. Bourton Vale Cricket Club is hugely grateful for the support from all of its sponsors. |
