Bourton Vale CC Enjoys a Dominant Weekend Across All Sides

Bourton Vale CC enjoyed an outstanding round of fixtures, with victories across all teams and a concession handing additional points to the club in a hugely successful weekend.

1st XI Cruise to 9-Wicket Win

The 1st XI delivered a dominant display against Cheltenham CC 2nd XI in a rain-affected encounter. Cheltenham were bowled out for 184 in 43.3 overs, but a revised target of 61 from 25 overs left Vale with a straightforward task.

They made light work of the chase, reaching 162/1 in 25 overs, securing a 9-wicket victory and taking 20 valuable points.

2nd XI Impress in Comfortable Chase

Bourton Vale 2nd XI continued the winning momentum with a composed run chase against Frocester CC 3rd XI. After restricting the hosts to 116 all out in 27.4 overs, Vale chased down the revised target with ease.

Finishing on 118/4 in just 16.3 overs, the 2nd XI claimed a convincing win and 21 points.

3rd XI Awarded Win After Concession

The 3rd XI were awarded maximum points after Andoversford CC 2nd XI conceded the fixture. While no play was possible, Bourton Vale took full advantage in the standings with a 22-point return.

Vikings Secure 48-Run Victory

Bourton Vale Vikings produced a strong all-round performance to defeat Tewkesbury Royals by 48 runs. Batting first, Vale posted a competitive 164/9 from their 20 overs, setting the tone with an aggressive approach.

In reply, Tewkesbury were unable to keep up with the required rate and were bowled out for 116 in 17.4 overs, sealing a convincing win and a solid start to the competition.
