With all of our 2024 friendly fixtures and events scuppered by the weather so far, we will be having a season launch for the whole club to coincide with the Junior registration evening on Friday 26th April from 6pm.
This will also be senior registration and a great opportunity for BVCC members to meet our overseas player Rupert Young who will be arriving the day before. The bar will be open and BBQ lit, and we'd love to see lots of the Bourton on the Water community come and enjoy a drink, burger or hot dog!

We have joined the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation "Get Set" weekend on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th March 2024.
The Get Set Weekend is designed to bring clubs and local communities together, and ensure grounds and facilities are ready for the new season. The weekend is a fantastic opportunity to inspire new and existing volunteers to spend time at your club, helping it to ‘get set’ for the upcoming season. The Get Set Weekend is powered by The Cricket Collective; the volunteers who drive and deliver all areas of the sport. In 2022, over 20,000 people got involved across England and Wales, supporting their clubs and local communities. We will be looking for volunteers to do a range of jobs at both our grounds at Bourton Vale and Lower Slaughter. This can be anything from cleaning out the nets and putting the sheets on the covers to cleaning the kitchen and fixing anything that needs fixing! We would be grateful for any support that we receive. As you know, the club is volunteer-run and more than just a Cricket Club as we host lots of local events. If you can give us a little bit of your time, please email Kevin Langley on kevlangley@btinternet.com . A huge thank you in advance, BVCC Committee Our first BVCC social will be a lunch at Stow RFC on Saturday 17th February when their first team take on Worcester RFC.
This will be a great chance to get BVCC playing and social members together and watch some of our rugby-playing members in action. Lunch (and a drink) is just £12. It would be great to support this as Stow RFC show incredible support to our Cricket Festival. If you have access to Spond, Langers has created an event on there. If not, and you’d like to come, please message me on here or at tom@t20media.co.uk. They need numbers a week before (so let’s aim for February 9th) and payment will need to be made in advance (you can do this on Spond really easily. This will be the first of (hopefully) lots of social events in 2024. Hope it all makes sense. Any questions, just ask. Also, if you would like to become a Social Member (just £25), please let me know! |
