Our first BVCC social will be a lunch at Stow RFC on Saturday 17th February when their first team take on Worcester RFC.
This will be a great chance to get BVCC playing and social members together and watch some of our rugby-playing members in action. Lunch (and a drink) is just £12. It would be great to support this as Stow RFC show incredible support to our Cricket Festival. If you have access to Spond, Langers has created an event on there. If not, and you’d like to come, please message me on here or at tom@t20media.co.uk. They need numbers a week before (so let’s aim for February 9th) and payment will need to be made in advance (you can do this on Spond really easily. This will be the first of (hopefully) lots of social events in 2024. Hope it all makes sense. Any questions, just ask. Also, if you would like to become a Social Member (just £25), please let me know!

We are delighted to welcome Darrel Williams to Bourton Vale Cricket Club.
Darrel will join as First XI Captain with a huge amount of experience both playing and coaching. Spending 12 years involved with Worcestershire, including the Worcestershire Academy and 2nd XI teams, Darrel made two first class appearances for Durham MCCU. He then enjoyed a successful reign as captain at Barnt Green in the Birmingham Premier League, winning three trophies in three years. He says “I’m really looking forward to getting involved with ‘The Vale’ and will be heavily involved in the club improving and hopefully getting the club back to where it belongs in the WEPL.” “It’s a fantastic challenge and I’m excited in helping and supporting players of all ages at BVCC improve and continue loving being part of this great club” Darrel will take over from outgoing skipper Charlie Garratt after seven years at the helm. Chairman Kevin Langley says “We are absolutely delighted to have Darrel joining us from the Birmingham League where he has been playing for several years. “He has been a regular for Oxfordshire CCC over recent years, and growing up and living in the Cotswolds, he is very well connected to local players.” “We believe that his arrival will bring a complete reset to our Club and will drive us forward to bigger and better performances at all levels.” “A huge thank you to Charlie for his incredible service and dedication to our club” We offer Darrel the warmest of welcomes to BVCC and wish him all the luck and success! |
